Katrin Pauts

Katrin Pauts (born August 25, 1977 in Muhu ) is an Estonian writer and journalist .

Life

Katrin Pauts graduated from high school in Orissaare in 1995 and then studied history at the University of Tartu for three years without completing the course. She then began a career as a journalist, worked for Õhtuleht for a few years and hosted on Estonian television . She lives on Muhu again today.

Pauts made his debut in 2016 with two detective novels that appeared in quick succession, which met with positive feedback. One critic drew parallels with Scandinavian crime fiction and soon saw it as an equal colleague of Indrek Hargla . Pauts' novels are set in a rural setting and thus bring a new facet to Estonian crime fiction.
