Katrin Vogel (born March 14, 1964 in East Berlin ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and tax advisor .

Life

After graduating from high school, Katrin Vogel learned the trade of industrial clerk. She then studied business administration at the TU Dresden . From 1987 to 1990 she worked as an assistant at the University of Economics in the field of business informatics and in 1990 she was admitted as a tax agent. Until 1992 she worked in the tax department of Price Waterhouse GmbH . As a tax agent and office manager, she worked for a tax advisor until 1993. Katrin Vogel has been self-employed since 1993, first as a tax agent and from 1994, after approval, as a tax advisor.

In addition to her professional activity, Katrin Vogel was initially involved in the Altglienicke citizens' initiative and was thus able to contribute to the fact that there is no high-voltage line from Deutsche Bahn through Altglienicke's residential area, but underground cabling. A little later, Katrin Vogel became politically active and in 2003 became a member of the CDU party . On September 18, 2011, Katrin Vogel was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives in 2011 as a member of the Berlin House of Representatives . In the House of Representatives, Katrin Vogel was the CDU parliamentary group's women's policy spokesperson from 2011 to 2016, and has been the spokesperson for animal welfare and equality since 2016. She is a supporter of the Berlin Declaration . She has been the state treasurer of the Unionhilfswerk since 2015.

An article she published in November 2011 caused a sensation in which she accused the Pirate Party of demanding free access to child pornography in its election manifesto. After massive protests in various social networks, she put this statement into perspective and published a clarification on her website.

In 2016, Vogel hit the headlines for her activities against refugees and the lack of demarcation from the NPD .

Katrin Vogel is married and has two children.
