Katrine Greis-Rosenthal

Katrine old-Rosenthal (* 19th September 1985 as Katrine Murholt Rosenthal in Gentofte ) is a Danish actress.

Life

Katrine Greis-Rosenthal came from a family with Jewish ancestors. From 2008 to 2012 she completed an acting training at the Statens Teaterskole together with Danica Curcic and Mikkel Boe Følsgaard in Copenhagen. She then performed on various stages in Denmark. At the Royal Theater in Copenhagen she got a leading role together with Henning Jensen in the play Jeppe på Bjerget by Christopher Berdal. In 2010 she appeared in the play Melampe in Grønnegårds Teatret and Den Danske Scenekunstskole in Ovid's Metamorphoses . In 2017 Greis-Rosenthal appeared in the performance De danser alene in Mammutteatret.

Since 2011 she has also made regular appearances in various mostly Danish film and television productions. She made her debut in 2011 in the short film Tilstand . In the years from 2014 to 2015 Greis-Rosenthal made a breakthrough with her participation in the television series Schändung , Heartless and Die Brücke - Transit in den Tod . In 2018 she appeared together with her husband in Thomas Vinterberg's miniseries Kursk . In 2018 Katrine Greis-Rosenthal received the Ove Sprogøe Prize for her film work in Denmark .

Besides Danish, Greis-Rosenthal speaks Norwegian, German, English and French.

In 2012 she married her fellow actor Martin Greis and since then she has shared the double name Greis-Rosenthal with him. They have two children together, Esther Liv and August Levy.
