Danica Curcic ( Serbian - Cyrillic Даница Ћурчић ; in another romanization also Danica Ćurčić or Danitza Tchurtschitch , born August 27, 1985 in Belgrade ) is a Danish actress of Serbian descent.

Life

Curcic came to Denmark with her parents when she was one year old. She attended Sankt Annæ Gymnasium in Copenhagen and then began to study, initially film and media studies at the University of Copenhagen , where she graduated with a bachelor's degree. She then spent a year at an acting school in California and then completed an acting training from 2008 to 2012 at the Statens Teaterskole . In 2011 she made her film debut in the Danish series Northern Lights - Murderers without Regrets . Curcic then worked as an actress in many Danish films and series. In 2014 she received the Shooting Star Award at the Berlinale . She has worked in films such as desecration in the role of Kimmie, in Silent Heart - My life belongs to me as Sanne, in Lev stærkt as Signe and in Lang historie kort . In December 2014 she was awarded the Ove Sprogøe Prize for her acting achievements .
