Katya Sander
Katya Sander (* 1970 in Hillerød ) is a Danish artist and university professor who uses conceptual and media art . She lives and works in Copenhagen and Berlin .
life and work
Sander was born in Hillerød in northern Zealand . She studied literature and culture at the Universities of Copenhagen and Roskilde , then architecture and then media art at the Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen. Sander took 2007 together with David Thorne , Ashley Hunt , Sharon Hayes and Andrea Geyer at the documenta 12 in part, their work 9 scripts from a nation at war dealt in nine video channels with the Iraq war . Since 2008 she has been Professor of Conceptual Art and Mixed Media at the Royal Danish Academy of Art.
