Caucasus Studies is a linguistic and regional science that deals with the language, culture, way of life and history of the population of the Caucasus , especially with the three language families that are summarized as Caucasian languages . The area that only deals with the South Caucasian or Kartwelian language family , which is particularly common in Georgia , is called "Kartwelology".
