Kavana (Anthony Kavanagh; born November 4, 1977 in Moston, Manchester , Lancashire ) is a British pop singer and actor . In the second half of the 1990s he had a few hits in Germany and Great Britain .
biography
Anthony Kavanagh was a protégé of Nigel Martin-Smith, the boss of Nemesis Records, who had already brought Take That together in the mid-1990s . Their then member Howard Donald wrote the song Crazy Chance , which was released in 1996 as a debut single under Kavanagh's pseudonym Kavana. In Great Britain the title rose to number 35 in the charts, in Germany to number 79. With Where Are You Now (number 26) followed a second hit at home in the same year.
From the 1997 debut album Kavana , I Can Make You Feel Good (UK 8th place, DE 71st place) and MFEO (UK 8th place, DE 89th place) released two more singles. MFEO stands for M ade F or E ach O ther. Even Crazy opportunity came as a 1997 remix into the top 20 British hit parade back. The singles from the 1998 long player Instinct , Special Kind of Something (UK # 13), Funky Love (UK # 32) and Will You Wait for Me (UK # 29), were only successful in the UK.
In 2006, Nine Days was the unsuccessful attempt by the 1.75 meter tall Brit to build on old successes. A year later, the best-of album Special Kind of Something hit stores.
