Kavatu (also: Kavutu ) is a small reef island in the reef rim of the Nukulaelae atoll in the island state of Tuvalu .

Together with Tumiloto , Motukatuli , Motukatuli Foliki , Asia and Muliteatua, Kavatu forms the northern reef edge of the atoll.
