Kaya Diehl (born July 1, 1992 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German handball player who was most recently under contract with the second division club SG H2Ku Herrenberg .

Career

Kaya Diehl started playing handball at SG Egelsbach. In the B youth she switched to HSG Mörfelden / Walldorf. With HSG Mörfelden / Walldorf, the left-hander took fourth place in the German A youth championship in 2009. In 2010, the winger joined the second division HSG Bensheim / Auerbach , with whom she was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2013. From the 2014/15 season she ran for the Bundesliga club HC Leipzig. She won the DHB Cup with Leipzig in 2016 . From the summer of 2016 Diehl was under contract with the second division club SG H2Ku Herrenberg . Since Diehl was unable to go on missions due to several injuries, she was released in March 2017 and an end of the contract on June 30, 2017 was agreed. However, she stayed with the club as a coach of the A-youth.

Kaya Diehl played her first international match for the German youth national team in November 2007. With Germany she took part in the U18 World Cup in 2010 and in the U19 European Championship in 2011 .
