Colds
Kealtes was a vase painter, active in Athens in the middle of the 6th century BC. Chr.
He is only known by his painter's signature on a black-figure aryballos from Petreza (now Athens, National Museum 1055). The depiction shows a frieze of standing women and men and a seated woman, with a standing sphinx under the handle . The shape of the aryballos with a round body and mouth plate corresponds to Corinthian models; the base of the vessel is unique. In addition to the painter, the inscription names Mnesikleides as the donor.
