Keidō Fukushima

Keidō Fukushima ( Japanese 福島 慶 道 , Fukushima Keidō ; * 1933 ; † March 1, 2011 ) was a Japanese Rinzai - Zen master who headed the Tōfuku-ji in Kyoto as abbot. He was ordained a monk at the age of 14 and completed his apprenticeship under Boro Okada and Zenkei Shibayama . Under his leadership, some non-Japanese took part in the exercises in Tōfuku-ji, including the American Jeff Shore and Muhō Nölke , the abbot of Antai-ji from Germany .
