Keijo Korhonen (born October 7, 1956 in Leppävirta ) is a former Finnish ski jumper .

Career

Korhonen made his international debut at the Four Hills Tournament 1978/79 on December 30, 1978 in Oberstdorf . He finished jumping on the normal hill in 60th place.

A year later he was part of the Finnish team that competed in the newly created Ski Jumping World Cup . Already in the first World Cup competition he achieved the best result of his career with 4th place in Oberstdorf. At the end of the season he was 57th in the overall World Cup ranking.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1982 he won the bronze medal in team jumping with Jari Puikkonen , Pentti Kokkonen and Matti Nykänen behind the teams from Norway and Austria .

The following season 1982/83 was the most successful of his career. So he was able to achieve a result in the top 10 again on January 30, 1983 in Engelberg with place 8. After he was also eighth in ski flying in Vikersund on February 18, 1983 , he ended his active jumping career and finished the season in 40th place in the overall World Cup standings.
