Keith Wickham is a British American football - referee .

Career

Wickham became a referee in 1986 after joining the British American Football Referees' Association . In 2006 he directed the game for the British Youth Championship. At the American Football European Championship 2010 he took part as a line judge . At the 2011 American Football World Cup , he was selected as one of 29 officials by the International Federation of American Football . He was also there at the 2014 American Football Championship and was allowed to lead the final there as a referee . He received a lot of criticism for this because, in the opinion of those involved, he pronounced incomprehensible punishments for alleged mockery of the opponent. It was also used at the 2015 European Women's American Football Championship . In the same year he was allowed to lead the Championship Game of Division Two South and was backjudge at the BritBowl .
