The Kellbergturm ( Iron Oskar ) is a 1906 at 343.1  m above sea level. NHN high Kellberg near Stadtoldendorf built 20 m high observation tower . Its construction is based on the initiative of the manufacturer Oscar Wolff , who planned it as early as 1891, but initially failed due to lack of financial resources.

The tower was built by Sieg-Rheinische-Hütten AG in spring 1906 and inaugurated on July 17, 1906. In 1934 the tower was given a new coat of paint. In 1942 plans were made to demolish and melt down the tower for war purposes, but this was not done. In 1976 the tower was closed. First of all, they are considering replacing it with a new design; instead, it is derusted in 1983 and released again on September 15, 1983.

Since August 25, 2005, the Kellberg Tower has again been closed to visitors for static reasons.

On September 22nd, 2007, thanks to the Kellbergtum Friends' Association (founded in 2006) and its sponsors, the Kellbergturm can be reopened and handed over to the city again.

For the first time - on a donor obelisk in the immediate vicinity of the observation tower - the original donor (donor) is remembered. Among other things, the following entry can be read on the obelisk: "In 1906, the citizen and city councilor Oskar Wolff donated the Kellberg tower to the Stadtoldendorf beautification association. Oskar Wolff, born on December 4, 1855, received the Stadtoldendorf citizenship letter in 1882 and took over as successor to his father, he took over the management of the weaving mill AJ Rothschild Sons. After his death on July 17, 1923 he found his final resting place in the Jewish cemetery in Stadtoldendorf ".
