Kenneth Raymond Miller (born July 14, 1948 ) is an American professor of biology at Brown University in Rhode Island .

Miller does research in the field of evolutionary theory . Miller is particularly known for his anti- creationism and intelligent design work . In his book Finding Darwin's God: A Scientist's Search for Common Ground Between God and Evolution , he explains that belief in God and evolution are not mutually exclusive.

Miller received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Brown University in 1970 and his PhD in Biology from the University of Colorado in 1974 . His research includes problems related to the structure and function of biomembranes . In 2007, Kenneth Miller, as an expert in the important Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District in Dover, Pennsylvania .

Miller has been a member of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry since 2010 . In the documentary Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on Trial he appears once as an interviewee and is portrayed there by an actor.
