Kenmet Knmt The Kenmet bird |
As a Kenmet bird, Kenmet is a god of the dead documented in the Old Kingdom . Most of the little information comes from the pyramid texts .
Kenmet is another manifestation of the deceased as ritually purified . This state is achieved through solving the bad deeds . Before the deceased turns into a Kenmet bird, however, he represents a danger to the deceased who have already turned into a Kenmet bird, since the deceased consumes the food presented by the cleaned Kenmet bird in his state before the solution.
