The so-called Kennedy-Brünnlein in the Ramersdorf district in Munich's 16 Ramersdorf-Perlach district was built in 1927. The fountain , which was originally located on the outer wall of the former beneficiary house next to the Catholic parish church of St. Maria at Aribonenstraße 11, was moved in 2010 in front of the rear entrance to the enclosed churchyard on Aribonenstraße. During the winter break, the fountain is protected from the weather by an enclosure made of wood.

The fountain trough with structure is made of red marble in the style of neoclassicism . The relief portrays the scholar and co-founder of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences , Ildefons Kennedy (born July 20, 1722 in Scotland, † April 9, 1804 in Regensburg), who held a benefit at the Ramersdorf Church until his death.
