Kennedy Chihuri (born April 2, 1969 ) is a former Zimbabwean soccer player . He played a total of 30 times for the Zimbabwean national team . With 199 played games, he has the most appearances of all foreign players in the 1st Czech league .

Career

Chihuri played for CAPS United in Harare in his youth . In 1986 he moved to league rivals Chapungu United .

In 1994 the midfielder was signed by the Slovak first division club 1. FC Tatran Prešov , for whom he played 49 games. 1996 Chihuri moved to Slavia Prague in the Czech league. There he came to only four missions and moved to Viktoria Žižkov in early 1997 within the league . At Viktoria he played regularly in attacking midfield, sometimes in attack. In the 2000/01 season he scored ten goals and was voted the best foreigner in the Czech league .

Chihuri could not build on this form, but was always part of Viktoria Žižkov's team in the following years. When his contract expired in 2004, Chihuri ended his career at the age of 35 and then took a coaching course in England .
