Kenneth Bartholomew
Kenneth "Ken" Eldred Bartholomew (born February 10, 1920 in Leonard , North Dakota ; † October 9, 2012 in Minnesota ) was an American speed skater who won the silver medal in the 500 m race at the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz won. He was 14-time American champion, which he won between 1945 and 1960, and three-time North American champion. He started for the Lawrence Wennell Powderhorn Skating Club. In 1959 he was inducted into the Minnesota Sports Hall of Fame ; 1968 into the National Speed Skating Hall of Fame .
