Kenneth Hyltenstam

Kenneth Hyltenstam (born April 3, 1945 ) is a Swedish linguist and university professor .

Hyltenstam is Professor Emeritus of Bilingual Research at the Center for Bilingual Research at Stockholm University . Hyltenstam's research focuses on bilingualism and language pathologies , second language acquisition , language switching and language preservation in minority languages and bilingual teaching for children who come from minorities. In 2005 he was accepted as a foreign member of the Finnish Society for Humanities and Natural Sciences. Hyltenstam has also published a number of writings, textbooks and specialist books on the subject, such as B. 1996 the book Tvåspråkighet med förhinder? ( Bilingualism with obstacles? ) And 1999 Sveriges sju inhemska språk ( Sweden with seven indigenous languages ).
