Kentarō Suzuki ( Japanese 鈴木 健 太郎 Suzuki Kentarō ; born June 2, 1980 in Hokkaido ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Suzuki learned to play football on the school team at Asahikawa Jitsugyo High School . He signed his first contract in 1999 with the Bellmare Hiratsuka (today: Shonan Bellmare). The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . At the end of the 1999 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In 2001 he moved to league rivals Montedio Yamagata . For the club he completed 77 games. In 2003 he moved to the first division club Tokyo Verdy . In July 2003 he moved to the second division club Albirex Niigata . In 2003 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose to the J1 League. For the club he completed 32 games. In 2007 he moved to league competitor Ventforet Kofu . At the end of 2007 he ended his career as a football player.
