Dungeon chapel in Babenhausen

The dungeon chapel in the Swabian town of Babenhausen , a municipality in the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria , consists of a rectangular building erected in the 18th century. The listed chapel is on Clemens-Hofbauer-Straße and is closed with its segmental arch towards the south. On the north side, the arched opening surrounded by profiles is closed by a lattice door. Profiled cornices run along the eaves and the gable . The inside consists of a flat barrel vault . The chapel houses a wooden figure of a life-size savior on the scourge column from the second quarter of the 18th century.
