Kerstin Geis (born March 9, 1964 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German politician of the SPD Hessen . She has been a member of the Hessian state parliament since 2014.

Life

Kerstin Geis completed an apprenticeship as a tax assistant . She then studied business administration . Before starting her state parliament mandate, she worked as the deputy managing director of the Hesse Chamber of Psychotherapists . She is the mother of four children.

Education politician Kerstin Geis has been a member of the State Parents' Council since 2006 and represents it in the Broadcasting Council of Hessischer Rundfunk. She belongs to the SPD Hessen.

After the 2013 election, it was placed on the list in the Hessian state parliament. Since 2016 she has been a member of the district council of the Groß-Gerau district and at the same time parliamentary group leader of the SPD parliamentary group in the district council. In 2018, the deputy spokesperson for education policy for the SPD parliamentary group in Hesse defended her mandate in the state parliament and received 24.6% of the vote. Kerstin Geis is represented in the following committees of the Hessian state parliament: Cultural Policy Committee (KPA), Budget Committee (HHA) and Subcommittee for Financial Controlling and Administrative Control (UFV).
