Kevin Maurice Saunderson (* 5. September 1964 in Brooklyn , New York ) is an American techno - musicians and - DJ .

Life

Saunderson went to Belleville High School in Detroit ("The Belleville Three") with Juan Atkins and Derrick May . He is considered a co-founder of the Detroit Techno style and had chart successes with the commercial project Inner City .

He founded the label KMS Records , on which he released under the project names Reese , E-Dancer , Tronik House and other titles such as The Sound , Bounce your body to the box , The groove that won't stop and Rock to the beat .

The 1997 compilation Faces & Phases gives an overview of his most important publications.
