Khaled Mohammed Al-Zubair

Sheikh Khaled Mohammed Al-Zubair ( Arabic خالد محمد الزبير, DMG Ḫālid Muḥammad az-Zubaīr ; Born November 23, 1970 ) is an Omani manager and sports official.

General

Khaled Mohammed Al-Zubair studied at the University of Arizona in Tucson and made his Bachelor in Business Administration. He also attended Harvard Business School and London Business School . He took advanced courses in management at both universities.

Al-Zubair became active for the Omani Chamber of Commerce after his studies. He was chairman of various state commissions, including for tourism, communication, advertising and export. At international meetings he represented the Omani Chamber of Commerce and private companies. He also supported the Omani Committee for the Admission of the Country to the World Trade Organization .

Sports administration

From 2005 to 2008 Al-Zubair was chairman of the Omani Tennis Association. Since 2012 he has been the chairman of the Executive Committee of the Omani NOK. He is honorary chairman of the Arab Swimming Association. In 2017 he was elected an IOC member.
