Khaled Nashef

Khaled Nashef ( Arabic خالد ناشف, DMG Ḫālid Nāšif ; * January 13, 1942 in Tulkarm ; † February 11, 2009 in Amman ) was a Palestinian ancient orientalist and Near Eastern archaeologist .

He received his doctorate in 1976 and worked from 1978 to 1987 at the University of Tübingen for the Tübingen Atlas of the Middle East . He then taught at Birzeit University in Palestine, where he was director of the Palestinian Institute of Archeology .
