Wirtschaft + Markt is the oldest and only East German business magazine that is distributed nationwide. The successor to the magazine Wirtschaft & Markt, founded in 1990, has been published by W + M Wirtschaft und Markt GmbH since 2013 . The magazine celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2015.
The magazine Die Zeit rated Wirtschaft + Markt as the "only East German business magazine of format".
Wirtschaft + Markt is a partner in the community of interests of the employers' associations in East Germany and Berlin.
The independent magazine sees itself as a representative of the interests of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the states of Saxony , Saxony-Anhalt , Thuringia , Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the capital region Berlin-Brandenburg towards politics and as an advisor for these companies.
Topics include the energy , health and automotive industries, business start-ups , young skilled workers, world market leaders , hidden champions , the connection between production and science, as well as taxes, law, money and real estate.
