Kibbeling is a Dutch fish dish.

Fish fillet is cut into bite-sized cubes, coated with batter and then fried . For the preparation, fillets of cod , today also the cheaper saithe or hake , are used. The fish cubes served with garlic dip or tartar sauce , such as joppiesaus , often with French fries . Kibbeling is offered in many snack bars in the Netherlands , it is also sold in northern German coastal towns and German towns near the border.

The word "kibbeling" originally referred to the salted waste (the cheeks) of the cod.
