Paul Jaeg , actually Paul Gamsjäger , (* 1949 in Gosau ) is an Austrian artist , writer and composer .

Life

Jaeg deals with the fine arts , literature and composition . After initial studies, he continued his education as an autodidact . In 1991 he founded the Arovell Verlag , of which he was director until 2016.

He is a member of the Graz Authors ' Assembly , the Salzburg Authors' Group and the Kunstforum Salzkammergut . Jaeg was curator of the Kunsthaus Deutschvilla in Strobl am Wolfgangsee from autumn 2008 to spring 2013 and has been part of the Sinnenbrand artist group since 2009, consisting of Peter Assmann , Ferdinand Götz , Richard Wall and Paul Jaeg. The artistic focus is on works and films based on the self-developed aroqart concept .

From 1991 to 2011 he was represented at 77 exhibitions in Austria and Bavaria (36 solo exhibitions, 41 exhibitions together with other artists), for example in the Bad Ischl City Museum , Schiele Center Krumlov , Künstlerhaus Salzburg , Romanischer Keller Salzburg , Fantastische Bibliothek Wetzlar, Johannes Kepler University Linz . In 1999 and 2011 he received a scholarship from the state of Upper Austria .

Jaeg was editor of the aroqart culture magazine until 2016 .
