Work description

Summery Village - From the more beautiful life in the country was his first photographic and literary work and was published in 1992 by Verlag Bibliothek der Provinz. In 1995, the same publisher published the volume of poetry threshold light shadow path . In 1996 he made travel sketches and essays entitled Stones, Traces, Labyrinths . In 1997, the Ritter Verlag published the HerzAsphaltMörderGrubenRhapsody , a rhythmic prose in three chapters that critically and linguistically reflects on rural life and the circumstances of the time. In 1999 the photo essay Wittgenstein in Ireland was published, a work in which Wall deals with Wittgenstein's stays in Ireland and describes the influence of the landscape on thinking. In 2000 the book of poems Stein- und Neonschrift was published by Grasl Verlag . The structure and character of the seventeen and four card game of the same name was published in 2003. The poems are preceded by lyrical excerpts from various poets, sentences by Fernando Pessoa , Hans Eichhorn or Waltraud Seidlhofer , for example . In 2004 Richard Walls appeared with collages of an illustrated volume of poetry called Anonymous Inventories . From the volume of poems Am Rande , his texts concentrate on the changes in the countryside, on the pseudo-urbanization of the villages, especially the Mühlviertel and Waldviertel.

“The reflective eye person Wall becomes a custodian of the images of the rural world, similar to another lyrical custodian, the Saxon Wulf Kirsten.” Klaus Gasseleder in Freeboard, Vienna

“That is the beauty of Wall's art that, like Kramer, he carefully and freely directs his gaze to the distant, to activities, sensations, objects, breaks them out of isolation, gives them back the meaning that they have lost.” Erich Hackl , Spectrum The press .
