Kid koala
Kid Koala (* 5. December 1974 in Vancouver as Eric San ) is a Canadian DJ and turntablist and lives in Montréal . San is a trained primary school teacher. He is under contract with the British label Ninja Tune , tours with the band Bullfrog and is a member of Deltron 3030 , Gorillaz and Lovage .
Kid Koala is best known for his unusual style and wide-ranging collection of samples, which range from sneezing noises and jazz records from the 1930s to Monty Python songs, film scores and excerpts from comedy shows. He has released four albums so far: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome , Some of my Best Friends are DJs , Your Mom's Favorite DJ and 12 Bit Blues . In 2003 he also released a comic called Nufonia Must Fall (along with a soundtrack), which deals with a love story between a secretary and an unemployed robot.
