Lovage (dt .: lovage ) is a band project of the Japanese-American producer Dan the Automator (pseudonym: Nathaniel Merriweather). The first album Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By was released on November 5th, 2001. Mike Patton and Jennifer Charles sing, sometimes in a duet, the pieces, which move stylistically between jazz and trip-hop . DJ Kid Koala contributed the scratches and also took part in the tour of 13 cities in the USA. The dreamy flute, strings and piano passages are accompanied by slow beats and interrupted by stories about lovage and bizarre drinks. Mike Patton announced a second album in an MTV interview in 2006 , which has not yet been released (as of 2014).
