from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kiel-Ostsee-Weg is a busy shipping route in the Baltic Sea .

It connects the Bay of Kiel from the lighthouse Kiel ( 54 ° 28 ′ 56 ″  N , 10 ° 16 ′ 35 ″  E ) over the Fehmarn Belt ( 54 ° 36 ′ 8 ″  N , 11 ° 14 ′ 5 ″  E ) with the Mecklenburg Bay ( 54 ° 20 ′ 0 ″  N , 11 ° 40 ′ 0 ″  E ) and leads to the Kadetrinne ( 54 ° 25 ′ 0 ″  N , 12 ° 9 ′ 0 ″  E ). At the level of the Lübeck Bay , the Lübeck-Gedser-Weg is added as a Seestraße. In the Fehmarnbelt, the Vogelfluglinie ferries cross this busy sea route, which all ships traveling from the Great or Little Belt or the Kiel Canal in the direction of the eastern Baltic Sea must use.
