Kiev-Brest Railway

The Kiev-Brest Railway (Russian Киево-Брестская железная дорога / Kiewo-Brestskaja schelesnaja doroga ) was a railway company in the Russian Empire .

The company was founded in 1870 and existed until 1879, when it merged with the Odessa Railway into the Brest-Odessa Railway .

On January 1, 1871, the founding of the company was confirmed by decree by the tsar. As early as 1870, they bought the eastern part of the Kiev – Kasatin – Shmerinka and Kasatin – Berditschew line built by the Kiev – Balta Railway .
