Kilcar
Kilcar ( Irish and official name: Cill Charthaigh ; German: "The Church of St. Cartha") is a small town and Parish in County Donegal in the north-west of the Republic of Ireland , which dates back to a monastery founded in the 6th century.
Kilcar is located in the far southwest of County Donegal on the regional road R263 in a Gaeltacht region, so that Cill Charthaigh is the official name of the place. Kilcar is around 13 km from the N56 national road near Killybegs and just a short walk from the sea . The population of Kilcar was determined in the 2016 Census to be 258.
