from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kim "Khan" Dong-ha (* 22. December 1995 ) is a professional South Korean e-sports , which in the League of Legends is active. He has been working for the SK Telecom T1 factory team since November 2018 . He plays in the position of the top planner.

Career

His first station in professional e-sports was the South Korean team Prime Optimus in 2013. With this team, he first attracted more attention in 2014 when the favorites SK Telecom T1 were beaten in a tournament. In the years that followed, he played for various Chinese teams until he returned to his native country in 2017. Here he was hired by Longzhu Gaming (now known as Kingzone DragonX), which was his final breakthrough. At the League of Legends World Cup 2017 , he reached a shared 5th place with the team. However, he had such strong competition in Kim "Rascal" Kwang-hee in his own team that he switched to SK Telecom T1 in November 2018. He missed the League of Legends World Cup 2018 with his new team. In 2019, he reached the semi-finals of the 2019 World Cup with SKT T1, but had to admit defeat to the European G2 Esports , as he did in the same year at the Mid-Season Invitational .

On December 16, 2019, his move to the Chinese team FunPlus Phoenix was announced.

Play style

In the position of Toplan, Khan is considered one of the strongest individual players in the world. He is particularly good at the League of Legends Champions Jayce and Fiora.

"Split push"

His application of the “split push” technique is particularly important for his team. A single player separates from the remaining four members of the team and tries to destroy as many structures and buildings of the opponent as possible. The opposing team can create situations in excess, but is faced with the difficult decision of either opposing the individual “split pushers” or the remaining team, reduced by one man.

Particularly for the "split pusher" with this tactic are both the skills in 1 on 1 and the ability to recognize in time when the opposing team could put him in trouble ( called "Map Awareness" in the scene ) and he retreat should.

Trivia

  • In 2018, Khan was suspended from a game after posting a racist comment against Chinese players. He later shaved his hair as a sign of his repentance.
  • He lost a tooth in 2018 during a live broadcast interview .
