Kim Yaroshevskaya

Kim Yaroshevskaya (Russian: Ким Ярошевская) (born October 1, 1923 in Moscow ) is a Canadian actress , writer and screenwriter of Russian origin.

Life

Kim Yaroshevskaya emigrated to Québec at the age of ten . In the 1950s she was a member of a theater group (The Attic Theater), where she impersonated the character of the doll Fanfreluche. She made appearances on Radio Canada and was on the shows Fafouin, The Box and Fanfreluche for 15 years. Between 1968 and 1971 Kim Yaroshevskaya wrote and interpreted all episodes of Fanfreluche, which it and her appearances in Passe-Partout (1977 to 1987) made famous across the country. As a stage actress, she got the most important roles in about 50 performances in Montreal .

She has also appeared in several other TV productions, including the English-Canadian series Home Fires (1980) and Anouchka (1984). She was then seen in the films Ent'Cadieux (1993–1999) and The Enemy of My Enemy (2001–2002).

In 1998 she published the children's book La petite Kim , which was also published in English by Douglas & McIntyre the following year.
