Minodora Cliveti (born October 24, 1955 in Adjud ) is a Romanian politician of the Partidul Social Democrat .

Cliveti graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iași in 1978 . This was followed by internships at Columbia University in New York City , the University of Birmingham and at the International Institute for Human Rights in Strasbourg and a doctoral degree at the Legal Research Institute of the Romanian Academy of Sciences. She has been a member of the Bacǎu Bar Association since 1978 .

Clivati ​​was deputy chairman of the organization in Bacǎu at PSD, deputy chairwoman of the women's association, member of the national council and member of the arbitration commission. From 2000 to 2008 she was a member of the Romanian Parliament . During this time she was also a member of Romania's delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe . On May 18, 2012, she took over the mandate in the European Parliament from the resigned Rovana Plumb .
