Kimiyoshi Yamashiki

Kimiyoshi Yamashiki ( Japanese 山 舗 公 義 , Yamashiki Kimiyoshi ; born March 7, 1924 ; died September 14, 1999 ) was a Japanese judoka . In 1958 he was third at the second world championships.

Kimiyoshi Yamashiki took third place in the Japanese championships in 1957. In 1958 he reached the final and took second place behind Kōji Sone .

On November 30, 1958, the second World Judo Championships were held in Tokyo . Yamashiki defeated the Brazilian Masaioshi Kawakami in his first fight , the Briton Douglas Young in the second round and the Dutch Anton Geesink in the quarter-finals . In the semifinals, the two Japanese Akio Kaminaga and Kimiyoshi Yamashiki met each other and Kaminaga moved into the final.
