The King Glacier is a glacier on the Shackleton Coast of the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It flows northwest of Mount Ida through the Queen Alexandra chain between the Beaver and Beardmore glaciers north to the Ross Ice Shelf .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him after Lieutenant Hugh A. King of the United States Navy , senior officer at Hallett Station in 1964.
