The Roman Catholic Church Neuhaus in der Wart is located in the middle of the cadastral community Neuhaus in der Wart in the Oberwart district in Burgenland . It is consecrated to St. Anthony of Padua and belongs to the dean's office in Rechnitz in the diocese of Eisenstadt .

history

Since 1760 there has been a small chapel on the site of today's church, which only offered six people and the hll. Anthony and Donatus was consecrated. The current church was built between 1956 and 1959 and is also dedicated to St. Consecrated to Anthony. In 2016, it was redesigned under the direction of the architect Doris Dockner, who replaced the altar wall with a glass wall that allows a view of the hilly landscape of southern Burgenland.

Furnishing

The clear glass altar consists of nine vertical glass panes and an altar plate with symbolic engraving. The new glass ambo , consisting of five panes of glass and a book plate, symbolizes the clarity.
