Jørlunde Church

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Jørlunde ( Danish Jørlunde Kirke ) is a medieval church in the parish of Jørlunde Sogn in the north of the Danish island of Zealand (Nordsjælland) . It was built by Skjalm Hvide around 1085 and is richly decorated with frescoes from the mid-12th century.

organ

The organ was designed by the architects Inger and Johannes Exner and built in 2009 by the organ building company Frobenius Orgelbyggeri . It has 24 registers and 1360 organ pipes , which, with a length of up to five meters, are the longest pipes that have ever been installed in a Danish village church. The disposition and sound design was created by the composer Frederik Magle .
