The Church of Strö located on the peninsula Kalland about twelve kilometers north of the Swedish city of Lidköping .

The church with a nave and a rectangular choir dates from the 12th century . In the 15th century the ceiling construction was replaced by a brick vault and in the 16th century a burial chapel was added for the Oxenstierna family .

During a restoration in the 1920s, wall paintings from the 15th century were discovered in the choir , probably by the church painter Nils Håkansson .
