Resville is a settlement on the Flian river about 13 kilometers south of the city of Lidköping in Sweden . It belongs to the municipality of Lidköping in the province of Västra Götalands län and is located in the historical province (landskap) Västergötland .
At Resville, the Flian forms rapids , the power of which has long been harnessed to build dams and mills. In the mid-1970s, the dam and buildings as well as the old bridge over the river were renovated. A salmon staircase was also built in the hope that salmon from the Flian would come up again.
