Kirsten Krüger's works are composed and formed from a wide variety of materials, often multi-part sculptures. There are “three-dimensional puzzles, iconographically charged especially through the material” (Jens Kräubig, catalog text for the exhibition at the Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart , 2004), “which irritate and capture the mind and eye” (Stephan von Wiese, catalog text for the exhibition at the Museum Baden , Solingen , 2004).

“The multi-layered images are reminiscent of the cycles of biology, chemistry or alchemy, but also of machine production. Last but not least, there are dreamlike, surreal shifts that evoke associations with several original images from completely different areas of life. In their union, they formulate the universality of life ” (Jari Ortwig, text on the exhibition in the Vitrinen, Cologne, 2014).
