Kirstin Drenkhahn

Kirstin Drenkhahn (* 1975 ) is a German lawyer and university professor.

Life

After high school she studied at the University of Greifswald and the Université Catholique de Louvain in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium) jurisprudence . After the first state examination in 1999, she was a research assistant at the chair for criminology ( Frieder Dünkel ) at the University of Greifswald from 2000 to 2003 . From 2003 to 2005, she did a legal preparatory service at the Lübeck Regional Court, which she completed with the second state examination. In 2006 she received her doctorate on the subject of "Social Therapy Prisons in Germany". From 2006 to 2008 she was the editor-in-chief of Greifswald's half-yearly publication for law . From 2011 to 2017, Drenkhahn held a junior professorship for criminal law and criminology at the Free University of Berlin. In 2017 she was appointed university professor. Kirstin Drenkhahn has been President of the DBH - Association for Social Work, Criminal Law and Criminal Policy since 2018 .
