Kiserian is a city in Kajiado County in Kenya . The city is located south of Nairobi and near Ongata Rongai . Kitengela has a population of 76,903 (2019 census) and is mainly inhabited by the Maasai . It is located at the foot of the Ngong Mountains along Magadi Road, right next to the Kiserian Dam .

The location of the Keekonyokie slaughterhouse in the Kiserian Center, right next to a Catholic church, serves as an important source of income for the people of Kiserain and the surrounding area. The cattle slaughtered by the slaughterhouse are transported from the market to Nairobi and other cities in Kenya.
