Kishori Saran Lal

Kishori Saran Lal (* 1920 ; † 2002 ) was an Indian historian. He specialized in the history of medieval India and has published important standard works in this field.

He received his PhD from the University of Allahabad , where he wrote a dissertation on the history of the Khaljis . He later published a book on the history of the Khaljis (History of the Khaljis), which soon became an important standard work.

After 1963 he was a professor at the University of Delhi . He was fluent in Persian, Old Persian, Urdu and other languages.
