The Kisker distilleries are a German spirits manufacturer with headquarters in Halle, Westphalia . It is one of the 30 oldest family businesses in Germany.

history

The family company Kisker was founded in 1732 by Johann Anton Kisker in Halle , Westphalia . Wilhelm Kisker (1781–1856) gave the company its current name in the third generation. Eduard Kisker (1850–1926) led the company in the fifth generation . The Kisker distilleries have been producing quality spirits for eight generations and are now managed by the managing director, Cornelius Kisker. Today, more than 275 years after it was founded, the company employs around 40 commercial and industrial employees.

Manufacturing

In 1979 a new production and storage center was built in the Künsebeck industrial area , which was expanded several times in the following years. Here all products are manufactured using traditional methods and filled, packaged and picked on modern systems. The Steinhäger , which can only be distilled in Steinhagen, is also very popular . The Kisker company is one of the few distilleries that still traditionally distills this product with its subsidiary, the distillery Zum Fürstenhof Robert H. Günther .

In addition to traditional products such as corn , juniper and herbal liqueurs, the range also includes soft liqueurs and vodka . Many products, for example English bitters , are awarded the DLG every year .

Since 1998 the Kisker distilleries have had a fan club with over 200 members from all over Germany.
