Eduard Kisker (born June 20, 1850 in Halle in Westphalia , † May 11, 1926 ) was a German entrepreneur in the production of spirits . He was head of the Kisker distilleries and councilor in Halle (Westphalia).

Life

After his father Wilhelm Eduard Kisker died in 1882, Eduard Kisker (also Eduard II. Kisker) took over the management of the company as the youngest son.

The city of Halle benefited from Eduard Kisker's willingness to donate. For example, he financed a toddler school and the construction of the road from Eggeberg to Theenhausen , and he also gave money for the poor. In 1878 he married Ida Cramer, the daughter of the architect and contractor Ludwig Karl Cramer , and was thus Ludwig Cramer's brother-in-law . Eduard Kisker's wife Ida was involved in the Halle private school, which was founded in 1896 and was donated by Eduard Kisker and Carl Heinrich Brune. This came under the jurisdiction of the city in 1925 as a middle school, later a secondary school. Kisker was mayor of the city of Halle from 1907 to 1919, he also held the title of Kommerzienrat and was awarded the Prussian Royal Order of the Crown in 1898 .
